About FindR Stories: kindness and goodwill still exists in everyday life
FindR Stories is a collection of real moments, told by real people.
Every day, somewhere in the world, an object is lost. A phone slips out of a pocket. A wallet is forgotten on a bench. Keys are left behind after a long night. What usually follows is stress, replacement, and waste.
Sometimes, something else happens.
With FindR, a stranger scans a QR code. A message is sent. A reply comes back. Two people who did not know each other a moment before connect for one simple reason: returning what was lost.
FindR Stories exist to capture these moments.
They are not about technology. They are about trust. About small gestures. About people taking a minute of their time to help someone they will probably never meet again.
Here you will find stories of phones recovered after nights out, passports found in airports, wallets returned by chance encounters, and objects that travelled further than expected before finding their way home. Each story is different, but they all share the same quiet power: kindness still works.
This page is also a living space. New stories are added as they happen, from cities, hubs, festivals, cafés, offices, and streets around the world. Together, they form a global map of human connection.
If you have a FindR Story of your own, we invite you to share it. Whether you lost something and got it back, or found something and helped return it, your experience matters.
Because behind every returned item, there is always a story worth telling.
If FindR helped you recover something important, we’d love to hear it.
It takes less than 2 minutes and helps us share real moments of kindness with the community.
